Una grieta de 19 millas en el hielo del glaciar Pine Island es claramente visible, lo que ha llevado a algunos científicos a especular que el mayor iceberg del mundo podría estar en movimiento pronto.
La imagen, tomada por la nave Terra de la NASA en noviembre de 2011, pero que sólo se dio a conocer hoy, muestra cómo la grieta está creciendo rápidamente. Apenas un mes antes tenía tan sólo 18 kilómetros de largo.
