Esta es una 'corrida de prueba' de un robot MDS (Mobile Dexterous Social) desarrollado en conjunto por el MIT Media Lab's Personal Robots Group, Amherst's Laboratory for Perceptual Robotics, Xitome Design y Meka Robotics.
Este robot pertenece a un grupo de cuatro humanoides desarrollados con nuevos adelantos en mobilidad, comunicaci�n e interacci�n, y su prop�sito es servir de herramienta para la investigaci�n de interacciones humano-robot. El MIT desarroll� el dise�o, los sistemas motrices por UMASS Amherst y la integraci�n de los sistemas por Xitome Design. El proyecto fue financiado por el ONR DURIP Award "Mobile, Dexterous, Social Robots to Support Complex Human-Robot Teamwork in Uncertain Environments" y en parte por el Microsoft Research Grant.
